What We Do

We're a small group of enthusiasts, continually exploring new and innovative ways to develop Google Earth visualizations and web-based applications for geospatial data. Sometimes dots on a map aren’t enough to visually tell the story, so we focus on more dynamic approaches to displaying geospatial data for events and situations that just look cool in Google Earth.

We use a combination of custom .NET applications with public and private data to create fun Google Earth presentations. By using custom applications, we can create repeatable and scalable tools for creating exciting KML files, such as our latest project that produced a hurricane visualization with over 100 years of storm data.

We have lots of interesting ideas and projects planned, so if you have any questions, comments, or projects that we can help with, please let us know. --GeoDev Team

100 Year Hurricane Visualization

We recently had an exciting opportunity to work with a senior research staff member at The Earth Institute, Columbia University to produce a single Google Earth animation with over 100 years of hurricane storm data which impacted Haiti. The Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) is working with the Earth Institute and other organizations...read more.
